Information We Collect

IBGPT may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account details such as name, email address, and authentication method.
  • Draft text or uploaded file content that you submit for analysis.
  • Report results, timestamps, assignment labels, word counts, and plan usage metrics.
  • Billing metadata associated with your Stripe subscription or checkout events.
  • Basic technical information needed to operate the website, such as session cookies and request logs.

How We Use Information

  • To create and secure your IBGPT account.
  • To process draft checks and return advisory AI-likeness results.
  • To measure word usage against your selected plan limits.
  • To process subscription and billing events through Stripe.
  • To improve product reliability, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.

Third-Party Services

IBGPT relies on the following categories of providers to operate the service:

  • Sapling for AI-detection processing and supported file-analysis workflows.
  • Stripe for subscription checkout, billing events, and payment processing.
  • Google for optional OAuth sign-in.
  • Railway for hosting and deployed application infrastructure.

These providers may process limited data required to perform their services. Payment card information is handled by Stripe rather than stored directly by IBGPT.

How Long Information Is Kept

IBGPT retains account information, scan history, and billing-related records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain subscription status, and resolve disputes or support requests. Retention periods may change as the product evolves.

Advisory Nature of Results

Detector outputs are probabilistic and may produce false positives or false negatives. IBGPT is designed as a student self-check tool. Schools, teachers, and exam bodies make their own authenticity decisions and should not treat IBGPT results as conclusive proof.

Your Choices

  • You can choose email/password sign-in or Google sign-in where available.
  • You can decide whether to submit pasted text or supported file uploads.
  • You can cancel paid subscriptions through Stripe or your account flow when available.
  • You can contact IBGPT about account or billing concerns through the public contact page.
