FAQ

Common questions from students using IBGPT before submission.

A quick guide to how the checker works, what counts toward plan usage, and how to interpret results responsibly.

AI checks Word limits Billing

Is IBGPT proof that a draft was written by AI?

No. IBGPT gives probabilistic, advisory signals only. A low, medium, or high risk band is not final proof of authenticity or misconduct.

What kinds of work can I check?

Students commonly use IBGPT for TOK responses, Extended Essay drafts, Internal Assessments, reflections, commentaries, and other coursework writing.

What file types are supported?

The checker supports pasted text and selected uploads such as TXT, DOCX, and PDF, depending on the file extraction path available in the app.

How do word limits work?

Each plan includes a monthly word allowance plus a maximum words-per-check cap. Both limits apply when you run a scan.

What happens if I exceed my plan?

You may be prompted to upgrade, wait for the next usage period, or submit a shorter draft.

Do failed scans deduct words?

If the detector cannot complete a scan successfully, the app is designed not to deduct plan usage.

Can I sign in with Google?

Yes. IBGPT supports Google OAuth in addition to standard email/password accounts.

How do paid plans work?

Paid plans are subscription-based and processed through Stripe. Higher tiers include more monthly words and larger per-check limits.
